Let's Keep the Momentum Going!

How do we do it? By really engaging with the communities of Greater Madawaska!

Increased community engagement is why Greater Madawaska Staff now understand that Griffith & Matawatchan is an important part of the Township with a vibrant cultural scene and amazing volunteers who now have Township support to make even more things happen.  Numerous surveys, workshops, and info sessions now include all parts of the Township equally. The old thinking was that holding one statutory meeting at the Township office was enough to check off a "public engagement" box, but we all know it wasn't. That's not engagement.    

We sought, or are seeking, your input on health care, recreation, seniors housing, short term accommodations, library services, road safety, and more and are acting based on what we learned.

Community engagement is a key reason great things have been happening and I know people can feel the difference as life in Griffith & Matawatchan improves.

Make sure you are on the voters list 

SECOND RESIDENCES ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY ON THE VOTERS LIST

They can be added online until August 12, in person at the Township Office in Calabogie after that, or at the polling stations with proper ID.
