I love representing you in Greater Madawaska and feel everything in my life has prepared me to do the job well. It's not a job for everyone, but I feel I was born for this, so let's keep the momentum going!

Publishing The Madawaska Highlander gives me an incredible understanding of our community and surrounding areas, our strengths, issues, and potential with the constant reminder to: Embrace the Past ~ Encourage the Future ~ Enjoy Today.

I am now semi-retired from Reel Impact Communications corporate video business my husband Mark and I own and  devote my time and energy to the print side of the business, publishing The Madawaska Highlander. This keeps me involved in the community while allowing me to devote the rest of my working day to Greater Madawaska Council work, while enjoying SALC 55+ activities and more with new and old friends.

From 2008 to 2022, Reel Impact had contracts with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities that sent me to municipalities across Canada to interview council, staff, and businesses for “Sustainable Communities Awards” videos. This provided me with a deep understanding of what it takes for large, small, and rural and remote municipalities to succeed and excel. The experience, along with my deep commitment to the Greater Madawaska communities we all love, inspired me to run for Mayor in 2018 (a valuable experience) and again, successfully, for Councillor in Griffith & Matawatchan in 2022 - the current term of council.

Managing a department of creative people at CTV Ottawa and researching, writing, and producing commercials and corporate videos provided me with a solid understanding of the challenges that small and large businesses and government agencies face, and reasons for success. This background serves me well as I assist our loyal Madawaska Highlander advertisers with their advertising campaigns. It also informs my work as a councillor regarding economic development and communications for the Township of Greater Madawaska.

I want to ensure we plan wisely in a changing world, while preserving the natural environment and small town, rural feel of Griffith & Matawatchan and all of Greater Madawaska. We can do this while encouraging existing and new businesses and attractions, and affordable, accessible housing.

Make sure you are on the voters list 

SECOND RESIDENCES ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY ON THE VOTERS LIST

They can be added at the Township Office in Calabogie, or contacting the Clerk by email, phone, or at the polling station in Griffith between 10 am and noon on October 26 with proper ID and proof of residency. Look for your Voter Information Letter in the mail between October 6 and 13.
